    MANITOBA MOTORCYCLE RIDE FOR DAD RAISES OVER $115,000 TO FIGHT PROSTATE CANCER

    WINNIPEG, MB: With no one ‘Ride Day’ this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Manitobans were again asked to ‘Ride Alone Together’ in support of the 13th Annual Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad (MRFD). Riders registered online, collected pledge donations and enjoyed their ‘RAT Ride’ on the days and routes of their choosing – all in the fight against prostate cancer. Today, Saturday, October 2, was the last day for ‘RAT Rides’ and over $115,000 was raised for the cause with pledge donations continuing to come in. Read More

    The WPA was the official Game Sponsor of the Winnipeg Goldeyes game on Sunday, September 5, 2021.     WPA 50/50 winner the Winnipeg Police Credit Union represented by CEO Cal Berzuk, receives a $46,282.50 cheque (50% of money raised) from Moe Sabourin and Jeremy Cull of the Winnipeg Police Association. Cal then donates the entire amount back to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba represented by Kathryn McBurney for a total of $92,565.00! Read More

On hand for the presentation was Brady’s sister Brooke (left), mom Corinne and father Brad (right). This brings the total raised from North America’s longest running Policeman’s Ball to $695,000. Winnipeg Police Association

The Winnipeg Police Athletic Association (WPAA) became the Winnipeg Police Association (WPA) March 16, 1972 in advance of the Unicity amalgamation of 1974. At that time, all police associations in the Greater Winnipeg area became members of the newly minted WPA.
