The 2020 WPA Charity Ball, originally scheduled for April 25, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "We have supported the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba for 34 years and our members will continue to proudly support children’s health in Manitoba," said Sabourin. "We know the COVID-19 crisis has hampered CHFM fundraising efforts and encourage people to make a generous donation by visiting goodbear.ca/wpa."
"The Children’s Hospital Foundation is so thankful for the ongoing support of all members of the Winnipeg Police Association," said Grande. "Especially at this time, we must ensure the children in our communities continue to have the Children’s Hospital to rely on, with the equipment and services to help any child through injury or illness."
Next year, the 96th Annual WPA Charity Ball will take place Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Canad Inns Polo Park and is the longest running annual charity function of its kind in North America.
