The Winnipeg Police Association is proud to support the Winnipeg ICE in their quest for Western Hockey League supremacy and outstanding contribution to the community. The Winnipeg ICE in association with the Winnipeg Police Association, are proud to announce the Cool 2Be Kind Group of the Game program during the 2022-23 Western Hockey League Season.
During 20 home games at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena, the ICE and WPS are recognizing this special group who celebrate inclusion, kindness and positivity in their daily lives.
The Cool2BeKind Group of the Game will receive:
- Special recognition on the video scoreboard during the game
- A visit from ICE mascots Shivers and Lil’ Freeze
- Player visit post game
The Cool 2Be Kind campaign is an initiative of the Winnipeg Police Association and focuses on teaching youth in grades K-8 (Winnipeg schools) the value of being kind.
Entering our 11th year, this positive behavior, anti-bullying initiative outlines the benefits of being kind to others and making good choices in school and in life. Students and staff are invited to create and submit a unique kindness project for their school with the opportunity to receive funding in the amount of $500 to see their project come to life.
