Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson celebrates the WPA’s Cool 2Be Kind campaign together with WPA president, Moe Sabourin, vice president, Jeremy Cull, and the WPA Board of Directors. Premier Stefanson has been the Cool 2Be Kind campaign honorary co-chair since 2016.
Cool 2Be Kind was created by the WPA and helps to teach students in grades K-8 the value of being kind to others and making positive choices in school and in life. Students and educators are invited to submit a Kindness project proposal for their school with the opportunity to receive funding in the amount of $500 to see their project come to life.
Over the past nine years, the Cool 2Be Kind campaign has funded 223 school Kindness projects totaling $111,500.
The Winnipeg Police Association believes teaching students the benefits of kindness is a positive, pro-active approach.
Funding for Cool 2Be Kind school Kindness projects is provided by the Winnipeg Police Association and generous corporate sponsors. For a complete sponsor list visit: www.cool2bekind.ca.
Students and educators from Winnipeg K-8 schools may visit www.cool2bekind.ca and submit their Kindness project proposal online. The extended deadline for Kindness project submissions is January 31, 2022.
